General Questions

Q: What are the differences between EEAX/OEAX and EEAO/OEAO?

A: EEAX and OEAX archives and exports emails in many different ways/formats.

The apps archives/exports emails out from Entourage/Outlook.

Once archived/exported, the emails can be automatically deleted from within Entourage/Outlook therefore the Microsoft Database size can be shrinked, according to the Microsoft standard procedure.

EEAX and OEAX supports POP, IMAP and Exchange accounts.

EEAO/OEAO moves emails from Entourage/Outlook Exchange account to the local Entourage/Outlook folders.

It has been primary developed to solve the Exchange disk quota problem.

The emails remain within Entourage/Outlook.

Q: When I click "Process" I receive the error: "EEAX found N Databases in my Office Identity in Microsoft User Data folder. Please keep the primary database."

A: This means that you have multiple copies of Microsoft database inside your Identity folder located in /Users/Your Account/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Your Identity/

Quit Entourage and move all the the other copies of Microsoft Database to the Desktop, in another folder, or keep them on a DVD Backup. In the Entourage Identity folder you need only one Database file. Previous copies were created by older versions of Entourage. The latest version of Entourage 2008 can generate a backup, using the Microsoft Database Utility, it will back up directly in /Users/Your Account/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/ as separate folder. Quit and re-launch Entourage and EEAX.
